Transforming extra-curricular programme management
Recent years have seen a significant increase in the range and diversity of extra-curricular options schools offer to students; largely in response to the growing recognition that taking part in extra-curricular sporting, cultural, arts and volunteering activities helps students develop the skills they need to succeed in higher education or the workplace.
CHQ’s extra-curricular management software makes it easy to manage all school activity beyond the academic timetable. Using CHQ enables online activity sign-up for parents/pupils, while providing schools with a range of system managed activity allocation methods. Safeguarding is enhanced by a mobile app which provides an attendance register, as well as pitch-side access to emergency contact details and medical records. Importantly staff can also see ‘who is where’ once the academic timetable for the day has finished.
CHQ Group quickly recognised the benefits of becoming an iSAMS partner and the advantage this will deliver for our joint schools customers. Schools can now integrate two ‘best in class’ solution providers, safe in the knowledge that they are using a supported, future proof and secure iSAMS API. This allows all pupil and teacher data to be pulled across to CHQ automatically, as well as morning and afternoon registration updates. CHQ is a hosted solution with the ability to also offer single sign-on (SSO) removing the need for users to remember multiple passwords.
Schools across 22 countries use CHQ to look after their complex extra and co-curricular needs, making the management of clubs, trips, revision classes and sports more efficient and saving significant administration time. Schools also have the option to purchase additional modules including transport and a payment interface e.g. PayPal for chargeable activities and trips.
The iSAMS API improves CHQ’s ability to write back to the MIS consistently. This means secure, reliable, up-to-date data and, ultimately, a better experience for teachers, parents and students. It’s also invaluable to CHQ’s future product development.
