We’re Enhancing Series Detentions

iSAMS Blog

Following your feedback, we have a great new feature coming soon enhancing Series Detentions in the Discipline Module.

Previously, when editing a series of detentions, you would lose the Detention history. This meant you would no longer be able to access the registration data for the students in those past Detentions.

With this new feature, when editing a Series Detention, the past Detentions in that series will no longer be affected, meaning you will still have a full history of Detention details and registration data of those in past Detentions. This means that only future Detentions will be affected when editing the series, creating another version of this series.

Please note: you are unable to change the name of a Series Detention.

Mapping

If there are any pupils already in a future Detention of the series that is being edited, you may be prompted to re-map any custom Detentions or move pupils from a Detention(s) if the amended series no longer matches the original sequence, this is shown in our iCommunity post here.

When is this Launching?

This new feature is currently being trialled in a small number of schools, following successful trialling, we will communicate the date that this will be rolled out to all schools.

Any Questions?

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. However, please note that this feature is NOT currently available for global release. We'll be in touch as soon as it's ready.
